It's moonlight movies and a meet-and-greet with a Booker Prize winner

Now that the cold weather warning has finally been lifted, organisers of the outdoor Moonlight Movies series at the Cyberport podium have decided to go ahead with the programme this week.

The screenings, which were to have started in January but have been continually postponed due to rain and other weather factors, will kick off tomorrow with ET: The Extra-Terrestrial. That will be followed by Dead Poets' Society on Thursday, Along Came Polly on Friday and Fight Club on Saturday.

The movies start at 7pm and admission is HK$200. For ticketing information, phone 3128 8288 or visit www.hkticketing.com.

Another event to make a note of is happening on the sidelines of next month's Man Hong Kong International Literary Festival.

The winner of last year's Booker Prize, Irish writer Anne Enright (left), is coming to town and will give this year's Man Distinguished Lecture on March 11 at the University of Hong Kong and visit the China Club. She will also make an appearance at Bookazine, in Prince's Building, on March 13 at 1pm.

The store is organising an Irish coffee and whiskey cake meet-and-greet with the author of The Gathering. Because demand is expected to be high, only people who purchase a ticket in advance will be admitted.

The bookshop is planning numerous events during the festival so contact it for the full schedule on 2525 0218, or visit www.festival.org.hk.
