Cinemas in Hong Kong raked in HK$430 million at the box office over the Lunar New Year holiday, up 7.5 per cent on the HK$400 million made during same period last year, the Theatres Association estimated. It said the increase was largely due to higher ticket prices. The science-fiction comedy CJ7, directed by Stephen Chow Sing-chi, was No 1 with receipts of more than HK$48 million.
