Government officials yesterday met film distributors in a bid to head off a row that could delay the gazetting of copyright legislation. The amendment, passed last year, entitles distributors to seek fees from rental shops and is due to be gazetted next week. Distributors want shops to pay them up to 100 per cent of a disc's wholesale price on each rental.
