Melco China Resorts, a subsidiary of Melco International Development, a listed conglomerate on the main board of the Hong Kong stock exchange, is looking for a senior project manager to cope with business expansion in Harbin.

The degree holder in civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture or the equivalent, with relevant professional qualifications will perform site supervision of real estate construction in northeast China, starting in Harbin.

The ski resort operator wants someone who has been involved with construction work in the mainland for more than eight years and can deliver from inception to handover. Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the construction business is vital.

The candidate would work closely with the corporate development team to manage government relationships, so someone with good presentation, communication and negotiation skills is needed with a high level of initiative and sharp business acumen.

The duties in this role would include administering all of the construction contracts, controlling the budget, time and the quality of deliverables as well as liaising with consultants.

A good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua is essential and candidates would be based on the resort site during the construction period.
