A lawyer said she had been conned out of a HK$1 million deposit she paid on a HK$9.5 million flat at Forrest Hill in Kau To Shan 11 years ago. Tin Hau-ting, a partner of law firm Au Yeung, Cheng, Ho and Tin & Co, alleged in the District Court yesterday that Chan Tak-ping 47, had conspired with Lai Sing-kei to deceive her. Chan denied a count of conspiracy to defraud and one of procuring a bank entry by deception before Deputy Judge Albert Wong Sung-hau.
