You can groove to the smooth dance rhythms and vocals of System by Seal, the British vocalist's first album after a four-year hiatus.
Fans of Seal's earlier work will be pleased to hear him returning to his roots by recording a mature, intelligent fusion of dance and electronica.
Unlike most dance albums, with their loud repetitive synthesiser tones and brash beats that seem pointless away from the dance floor, System by Seal contains smart lyrics and enjoyable melodies that can be listened to at home.
He takes a near-suicidal chance by crooning a duet with supermodel wife Heidi Klum on Wedding Day, a love song about (you've guessed it) their wedding day, but he manages to pulls it off. Heidi does a passable job with her soft sultry voice and doesn't embarrass her husband.
Many of the other tracks, such as If It's In My Mind, It's On My Face, System and The Right Life, seem vaguely similar in structure and melody. Nearly every song on the album would benefit from re-mixing to make it more interesting.
System doesn't really have any stand-out tracks. The music is easy on the ears and good to dance to - but don't expect to break a sweat.
