My 'stalker' days are over, says Ho

Tomboy singer Denise Ho Wan-sze says her first relationship lasted only seven days because her boyfriend found her overwhelming.

'People all know me as a cool person and think I should be a free and easy type of girlfriend. But I was like a stalker and my first relationship only lasted for one week,' Ho (right) said.

The 30-year-old said that relationship - with someone in the entertainment business - started when she was about 22.

Ho, the winner of the 15th New Talent Singing Awards in 1996, released the hit single Rosemary in 2002, which touched on the topic of lesbianism. She has been romantically linked with fellow singers Wilfred Lau Ho-lung and Joey Yung Cho-yee.

She said in previous relationships there was no holding back. But Ho learned a painful lesson from that and now when she meets someone she lets the bond between them develop more slowly.
