Book early for second chance to meet Archer

If you were thinking about attending writer Jeffrey Archer's luncheon at the China Club on March 31, then you waited too long.

Apparently, the HK$499 event organised by bookstore Bookazine - including a copy of his latest novel, A Prisoner of Birth, as well as a chance to hear and speak with the best-selling author, former Conservative member of the British Parliament and jailbird after being convicted of perjury - is sold out.

If you hurry, Archer, who will only be in town for two days, is hosting a literary dinner that same Monday night at Grappa's Cellar in Jardine House. This event, planned through Dymocks, is HK$500 for a three-course meal, but no book. For details, call 2850 5065.
