Bullish's temperature no cause for concern, says Cruz
Derby-winning trainer Tony Cruz confirmed last night that his Dubai Duty Free runner Bullish Luck had arrived in the Middle East with symptoms of travel sickness but remains unconcerned.
'He's running a bit of a temperature on his arrival there but the situation was caught early and this far out from the race I don't think it's anything to worry about,' said Cruz, who said there was nothing amiss with his other Duty Free runner, Floral Pegasus.
It is understood Bullish Luck was running a temperature of over 102 degrees Celsius when he landed in Dubai yesterday, but after some veterinary attention it had already begun to drop last night.
Crucially, Bullish Luck has time on his side, being on the ground well over a week from his assignment in the world's joint-richest race on turf next Saturday - a factor so often stressed by the Jockey Club to trainers bringing horses to Hong Kong for international events.
