A special Olympic-related Easter festival has been set up at Tseung Kwan O's Park Central mall to celebrate the Beijing Games.

To kick off the holiday merriment, a group of children completed a 1.8-metre high Equestrian Easter Bunny, decorating it with colourful eggshells.

In addition, an exhibition of 100 Olympic Easter eggs decorated by children will be on display until Monday.

The eggs all have an athletic theme in keeping with the Games vibe.

They were designed by children between three and 12 to give their blessings to the Games.

The annual Easter egg throwing competition was held yesterday.

In line with the Olympics, contestants had to throw the eggs as if they were taking part in a shot put competition.

In conjunction with the competition, a workshop for making a protective covering for an egg is being held until Monday. Any customer spending HK$200 or more at Park Central will be eligible to take part in the Easter egg workshop.

All participants will be given a certificate after completing the workshop.
