Rain forces League Cup final delay

Yesterday's scheduled League Cup final between holders Kitchee and South China has been postponed to tomorrow because of a heavy downpour. The Hong Kong FA decided to call off the match just before kick-off as conditions at Mong Kok Stadium were deemed unplayable. Hong Kong international Lee Wai-man, who was at the stadium, said the FA had made the right decision. 'The wet pitch would make it extremely difficult to play on and that's not good for both players and spectators who want to see a good game,' he said.
