Wake up and smell the coffee - and it won't cost a bean
with Andrew Sun. Additional reporting by Clara Mak.
Small incentive though it is, receiving a free cup of coffee is still not a bad way to go back to work after a long weekend. The Starbucks chain will be handing out a complimentary fresh-brewed 8 ounce (that would be a small) cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll at most of its 90 Hong Kong and Macau outlets tomorrow between 10am and noon.
The reason for the generosity? They want to thank all their loyal customers and enable the uninitiated to become addicted, I mean be introduced, to their fragrant beans.
Yes, it's kind of a nice gesture, but not every store is participating. As a heads-up, most outlets in the MTR are excluded from the promotion. Others not taking part are Plaza Hollywood, Times Square's ninth floor, Ngong Ping, Citywalk, and the cafes in the Wynn and Venetian in Macau.
