More opportunities to lord it up with Archer

More details of author Jeffrey Archer's visit to Hong Kong next Monday and Tuesday: in addition to two previous events mentioned last week, the writer will promote his new book, A Prisoner of Birth, with a talk at the Main Library of the University of Hong Kong, organised by HKU and the Swindon Book Group, on Monday at 5pm.

It's a free event, but registration is required (www.swindonbooks.com/Jeffrey_Archer.asp or at Swindon shops).

The next day, Archer will be the guest speaker at a British Chamber of Commerce luncheon at 12.30pm at the Football Club (HK$600, from the chamber), and will attend a dinner and talk at the Foreign Correspondents' Club at 6.45pm (HK$300, from the club).

As for his luncheon next Monday for Bookazine at the China Club, contrary to our earlier report, it is not yet sold out. It might be a good choice to hear Lord Archer tell his tales there, since it will be his first event and he won't be suffering promo burnout.

The buffet lunch starts at 12.30pm, and for HK$499 you will also get a copy of his just-released novel. Tickets are available from all Bookazine stores or write to [email protected].
