Free Wi-fi services were launched yesterday at major public libraries and some government offices - the first stage of a programme to provide free wireless internet access in public buildings citywide. More than 30 buildings are covered by the first phase. By mid-year there will be 120 Wi-fi hot spots, and a further 230 will be available by mid-2009 under the GovWiFi programme. The Post has tested the system and it is working well. All pornography sites were filtered out.
