For Chanel's Mobile Art project, fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld and architect Zaha Hadid were in town on March 12 to celebrate the Contemporary Art Container on top of the Star Ferry car park.

Inspired by the label's quilted handbag, the evening was a blend of high society and high art, with a couple of European actresses thrown in.

In addition to Diane Kruger and Anna Mouglalis, local entertainer Kelly Chen Wai-lam was on hand to experience the sensational multimedia art project, while makeup artist Zing Wong and Kam Kwok-leung both wore Lagerfeld creations in an effort to impress the man himself.

Other familiar faces in the crowd included restaurateur Frank Sun, Taiwan celebrity Patty Hou Rei-cen, Jan Lamb Hoi-fung and Pucci's Regina Lam.
