Big chance for Caroliners

South China can tighten their grip on the Coolpoint First Division title when they meet Happy Valley at Mong Kok Stadium today. The Caroliners have 29 points from 12 outings, seven ahead of nearest challengers Citizen, who will meet Kitchee in today's other fixture. Should South China beat Valley and Citizen lose to Kitchee, the Caroliners would need only a draw against Citizen in their next match to clinch consecutive league titles. South China have every chance of continuing their winning form after thrashing Kitchee 4-2 in the League Cup final last week. With a squad spearheaded by in-form skipper Li Haiqiang, they can make short work of sixth-placed Valley, who have nothing left to play for, except pride.
