Sanwa Bank plans CDs

THE Sanwa Bank's Hong Kong branch signed documentation yesterday on the issue of five-year, fixed-rate certificates of deposit (CD) worth $100 million.

The CDs will be lodged with the Central Moneymarkets Unit Service operated by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

The issue was jointly arranged and managed by Union Bank of Switzerland and Sanwa International Finance, which will act as the paying agent and lodging agent of the certificates.
