Baber following in grand slam footsteps

The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff might seem like a million miles away, but Gareth Baber's charges are keeping Wales' Six Nations grand slam success close to their hearts as they compete in the Sevens with new verve and vigour. 'You always try to do well in the Sevens,' said Baber, Wales' former captain-turned-coach who has led his team to the Cup quarter-finals. 'Obviously, there's a good feeling in the country [with the Six Nations success]. The national squad is very proud. We're on the other side of the world trying to do the country proud as well,' he added. Baber hopes Wales' grand slam success this month will rub off on his players as they attempt to better last year's performance when they beat Argentina 26-19 to lift the Plate. This time, they are competing in the Cup competition where New Zealand await them in the quarter-finals.
