Beach-goers were advised not to swim at Clear Water Bay second beach and Hap Mun Bay beach in Sai Kung after suspected red tide sightings. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department hoisted a red flag at both beaches yesterday. Last Friday, red tides were also sighted at Clear Water Bay's first and second beaches. Red tides are generally the visible sign of an algal bloom, which can harm marine wildlife and humans.
