China Security wins secured network contract in Shandong

China Security and Surveillance Technology, a New York-listed provider of digital surveillance products and other security systems on the mainland, has won an 800 million yuan (HK$889.17 million) contract to build a secured network system for Jining city in Shandong province. The deal was the biggest among the so-called National Safe City projects being implemented by Shenzhen-based China Security, chief executive Tu Guoshen said. Bien Perez

Shanghai Unicom teams up with Motorola to boost applications

Shanghai Unicom, a unit of telecommunications operator China Unicom, has signed a deal for an undisclosed amount to establish a value-added service platform using technology from United States-based Motorola. The platform, which will be based on Motorola's Global Applications Management Architecture, will help Shanghai Unicom speed up the rollout of a wide range of customer applications, including messaging and Web browsing. China Public Security lands Macau deal for police service

China Public Security Technology, a mainland provider of public security information technology and Geographic Information Systems software services, has won its first project in Macau. The Shenzhen-based company will set up the police service's First Responder 999 project for emergency assistance. Other new projects have been taken on in places such as Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Hubei, Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing. Bien Perez
