New Star on the scene

Star Cruises' massive cruise liner the SuperStar Virgo has arrived in its new home. The largest vessel in Hong Kong - able to accommodate 1,870 passengers and towering 13 storeys high - berthed at Ocean Terminal after being based in Singapore. A dance performance (left) celebrated its arrival. Star Cruises' president, David Chua Ming Huat, said the ship's presence in Hong Kong was expected to attract more mainland tourists. The SuperStar Virgo will be based in the city for six months before returning to Singapore. It will cruise the South China Sea, visiting China, Vietnam, Taiwan and Singapore.
