IS there no stopping erstwhile RTHK man Nick Bailey, now making waves of all sorts in Britain as presenter of the award-winning Breakfast Show on Classic FM.

He has just received the ultimate literary accolade - a lengthy reference in the latest edition of The Oldie - a widely circulated magazine for the pension set edited by Richard Ingrams who was co-founder of the internationally known satirical mag Private Eye.

The article mentions the highlights of Bailey's popular daily show, including the Trumpet Alarm Call (now there's an idea for you, Ralph Pixton!), the Morning March and Breakfast Baroque.

It quotes the ex-Hong Kong broadcaster as saying: ''The emphasis is very much on music which will get you going in the morning.'' Which makes Bailey the perfect substitute for All Bran.
