Mercedes-Benz is part of German manufacturer Daimler AG, and the brand is used for luxury automobiles, buses, coaches, and trucks. The name first appeared in 1926 under Daimler-Benz but traces its origins to Daimler's 1901 Mercedes and to Karl Benz's 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen, widely regarded as the first automobile.

What drives it? A 6,209cc, 457bhp, V8 AMG engine linked to an AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic automatic transmission.

How fast is it? It makes 0-100kmh in a blistering 4.5 seconds, with a limited top speed of 250km/h.

How safe is it? The C63 has a brake assist system, bi-xenon headlamps with cleaning system and an electronic stability program, front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger and side and window airbags for passengers in the rear.

How thirsty is it? It drinks 13.4 litres per 100km

Hong Kong friendly? It blows 319 grams of CO2 per kilometre, the fug equivalent of 2.65 Smart ForTwos.
