AFS Intercultural Exchanges is organising two programmes for young people to experience foreign cultures this summer.

The first one is Overseas Year Programme, under which participants will leave for a foreign country between July and September and stay there for a year.

The scheme is open to secondary school students aged between 15 and 19 and the selected candidates will study at secondary schools in the country, enrol in integrated courses and take part in various personal development activities.

They will stay with local families, enabling them to integrate better into the local society.

The second, Overseas Community Service Programme, is targeted at professionals aged between 18 and 30 with experience in community development. The programme will be held on the mainland between August and January next year.

Financial aid will be provided for people in need. The application deadline for the students programme is mid-April, and April 25 for the professional programme.
