Remember the Macarena? Based on the song of the same name from Spanish duo Los del Rio, the dance took the world by storm during the mid-1990s. Now another craze, called the Papaya Dance, is gaining momentum, thanks to YouTube (keywords: 'papaya dance'). It is based on the upbeat 70s song Papaya, by Polish jazz vocalist Urszula Dudziak. Played on a Philippines game show, the song somehow spawned the campy dance, which has since been showcased on Good Morning America and a host of amateur videos.
