Legco panel eyes associate degree woes

The Legislative Council's education panel will hold a special meeting on April 28 to investigate the failure of an associate degree course in nursing to gain professional accreditation. The recent controversy over the Institute of Technology's nursing course has renewed concern over the quality of associate degree programmes on offer and the lack of an effective monitoring system for the sub-degree education sector.
