Appeal over missing boy

Police appealed yesterday for help finding Lam Kwan, 13, who failed to return to his boarding school in Stanley on Sunday. He is 1.65 metres tall and of average build. He was wearing a black coat, dark blue trousers and black shoes. Anyone with information can call 3661 1171.

Boy dies after hearse accident

A 13-year-old boy hit by a hearse on Sha Tau Kok Road near Au Ha Tsuen on Monday died yesterday. Wong Ka-lok died at 4.53pm in Prince of Wales Hospital.

Six men held for fighting

Police arrested six men from two groups who began fighting each other with chairs, wooden batons and brooms in Hillwood Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, after one of the groups accused the other of staring at them. Two of the men were injured and treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Hepatitis B side effects

One-third of Asian chronic hepatitis B carriers have severe fibrosis or cirrhosis, the University of Hong Kong medicine department found.
