The Peak Tram service was suspended for seven hours until 2pm yesterday after a tree near the May Road station fell on the tramway when strong winds from Tropical Storm Neoguri hit the city. Passengers at the Central terminal had to use the Citybus route 15 service. A mainland tourist at the terminal said the service suspension was understandable. Some Peak Tower employees took taxis to work.
