Inspiration: Cuban Felix Gonzalez-Torres, known for his minimalist installations and sculptures - 'I like dead artists the most' - and pop-artist Edward Ruscha.

Reading: The Glorious Deception by Jim Steinmeyer. 'It's about the Scottish-New Yorker William Robinson, who turned himself into the Chinese conjuror Chung Ling Soo. He was one of the muses for my exhibition.'

Food: chilled sweet beancurd. 'I get queasy at the thought of soya milk though.'
