Olympic torch-bearer and Canto-pop singer Jacky Cheung Hok-yau was so taken with his experience on Friday that he already has an eye on performing the same service for the next Olympics.
'All of the torch carriers in each section of the relay were transported together to the designated spots by a coach and each time one got off, the carriers still on the coach cheered for the person,' he said.
'Since I was the last carrier in my section to run the relay, the staff members on that coach cheered me on. I want to say a big thank you to them; they gave me a lot of strength and support ...
'As for the torch, I will keep it well and safe at home because you never know if you will ever get the chance to run an Olympic torch relay again.
'And I'll be very happy if I do, so I can give one torch to each of my two daughters.'
