HK$800,000 purse for works of fiction

Hong Kong-based author Nury Vittachi will head a panel of three judges who will decide the destiny of the inaugural Australia-Asia Literary Award. The purse of A$110,000 (HK$806,600) will be given to English-language literary fiction written for mobile phones, PDAs or computers, as well as in traditional book form. The closing date for entries is May 31. All works must be nominated by publishers and have appeared last year. See www.dca.wa.gov.au.
