Interference finding review date

The judicial review of findings by the commission of inquiry into interference at Hong Kong Institute of Education is to begin in October. The application was brought by Education Secretary Michael Suen Ming-yeung last September, appealing against the inquiry's finding that former permanent secretary for education and manpower Fanny Law Fan Chiu-fun improperly interfered with the academic freedom of researchers. The court has appointed barrister Joseph Fok SC (pictured) to argue against the appeal.
