Bail extended for crash driver

The 32-year-old driver of a tour bus that smashed into a roadside barrier at a Sai Kung roundabout, killing 19 people and injuring 43, on May 1 has had his bail extended for one week when he reported back to police yesterday. No charges have been laid.

Tourist held with cannabis resin

An Indian tourist was arrested at the airport allegedly with 1kg of cannabis resin with a street value of HK$100,000. The man, 23, who arrived on a flight from Bangladesh, was detained when he walked out of the arrival hall late on Monday.

Shop worker arrested

A worker at a vegetable shop was arrested after she allegedly pushed a hygiene officer to the ground in Fu Yan Street, Kwun Tong, at about 11am. The incident happened as the officer was about to issue a summons to the shop.

Fleeing II falls off roof

An illegal immigrant who was fleeing police lost his balance and fell off the roof of a single-storey house near Tong Hang in Fanling. The man, who suffered leg injuries, was arrested.
