Collections for men and women highlight virility and femininity

JeanRichard's new collection is especially designed for women seeking romance and an extra bit of femininity.

Described as 'an extremely feminine' watch, the Bressel Lady features various functions around a central diamond on the dial. The hours and minutes pass by on an off-centred axis. While the date is displayed at 3o'clock, the small seconds indicator appears at 7o'clock and the 48-hour power reserve between 4 and 5o'clock. The unique elegance of this timepiece is its sunburst motif on the satin-brushed dial depicting the sun's rays in gentle curved lines. The sapphire cabochon is a special feature which enhances the femininity of the watch.

The Bressel Lady's polished stainless steel model has engraved love messages in French on the mother-of-pearl dial, adding romance to the innovation, which breaks away from the traditional design.

The Paramount Time Square was inspired by New York's famous landmark, Times Square, and the watch features an hour display that follows the lines of a square, departing from the traditional circular dial.

The three-pointed red, blue and black rotating hour indicator moves along the sides of the square dial. Each point marks the hours in turn. The watch is water-resistant to 30 metres and has a sapphire crystal case-back.

To coincide with the presentation of its new sports line design, JeanRichard introduced its latest GMT 2TimeZones model, the first in its sports line equipped with the brand's JR1000 movement. The mechanical self-winding JR1000 movement is manufactured by the brand and can be found in the different designs.

The dual time-zone piece caters for those who travel around the world. The first local time zone is displayed in the classical way with central hour, minute and second hands. An aperture at 12o'clock shows the second time zone with an AM and PM indication. A second aperture at 6o'clock shows one of the 24 reference cities for the various time zones.

The watch has two crowns - one at 3o'clock and another at 9o'clock. The screw-locked crown at 3o'clock is used to wind the watch, change the date and set the time. The city indication can be changed by using the 9o'clock crown.

A finely made mechanism has been installed to allow it to adjust the hour hand separately from the movement by activating the two pushers at the case's left side. The design enables the hour and hand to move independently, making it possible to adjust the local time zone quickly.

The brand's other sports watch is the Bressel Classic Chronograph for Juventus. The black watch has bright yellow and white hands and hour markers which complement the Turin soccer team's logo. The Juventus logo can be clearly seen in the dark. Apart from the minute, second and date functions, the timepiece also features a three-counter chronograph in a 43mm round case.

JeanRichard and Juventus formed a partnership in 2003 after recognising they shared a common style and history. JeanRichard is a world-renowned watchmaker and Juventus is one of Italy's best-known soccer teams.

JeanRichard and motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta share the same passion for precision and mechanical engineering. Their collaboration this year is the presentation of the Brutale chronoscope collection. Brutale is Italian for extreme virility and power - in line with the signature feature design of MV Agusta motorbikes.

The watch dial's carbon fibre highlights three counters inspired by the motorcycle fascia.

The red accents stand out sharply on the dial. The masculine collection has two models: one in a rubber-clad steel case features a bezel, pushers and crown in titanium, another with the same components is in gold. Both use the JR1000 movement. The two models are available in limited editions of 290 in rubber and pink gold; and 1,078 in rubber and titanium. The 290 figure indicates the top speed in kilometres per hour of an MV Agusta Brutale motorcycle and 1,078 denotes the bike engine capacity.
