A challenging opportunity for motivated and locally experienced sales persons has just come up with a major global organisation.

According to Benny Lee, sales and marketing consultant at the Hong Kong branch of recruitment specialists Michael Page International, the company is on the hunt for a sales manager - wholesale.
'This is a key management position responsible for the sales development for our client's brands within wholesale and selected direct client channels in the Hong Kong market,' Mr Lee said.
As a result, 'the successful candidate will be tasked to achieve the right commercial mix between wholesale and direct sales revenues', he said.
Whoever lands this position will be responsible for the company's flagship brand in the food service sector in Hong Kong.
The brand holds strategic importance with regard to the company's long-term development.
Prospective applicants should note that this position demands that its incumbent manages a team of about 10 staff.
'Our client is very well established and a leading player within the food-service industry in Hong Kong,' Mr Lee said.

In terms of experience and background, the ideal candidate should have at least eight to 10 years of experience within the food service or FMCG industry in Hong Kong.
While experience working with wholesalers will be very highly regarded, sales management and people management skills are an absolute pre-requisite.
In terms of personality, Mr Lee's client is looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial sales person with highly developed negotiation and relationship skills.
'The candidate needs to have a high level of commercial acumen and to have the ability to work well independently; coaching and leadership experience is also sought,' he said.
As the position is Hong Kong-focused, only local travel is required.
In addition to daily duties, this role has various special challenges, according to Mr Lee.
In particular, he said that 'our client is in the process of rationalising its distributors to review and improve the route to market'.
As a result, 'a major challenge is to work diplomatically and effectively with these clients'.
