Greyhound
Who created it? Greyhound is an edgy label considered one of Thailand's hottest fashion brands. Founded in the 1980s by Bhanu Inkawat, it specialises in clean and sleek urban looks. Having launched as a menswear-only label, it began to gain wider recognition when womenswear was added to its portfolio. Now relying on the services of Italian-trained local designer Vitchukorn Chokedeetaweeanan, Greyhound shows regularly at Bangkok Fashion Week.
Why we love it? Chic and cool, Greyhound's designs are simple but never boring and come with a modern twist or interesting detail.
The spring collection is futuristic and inspired by contemporary architecture, melding old structures with new thoughts - city shorts have been combined with long-sleeved tops to form romper suits, for instance, while plain T-shirts and blouses have been given a three-dimensional feel. The silhouette can best be described as modern 1980s, with oversized tops worn with high-waist trousers and skirts.
What we'd pick? For something stylish for the evening, go for the LBD (right; HK$2,200), which has been updated with a structured voluminous skirt, or try the more girly purple tiered dress (left; HK$940), inspired by Lanvin's autumn-winter collection. For something more edgy, there is an oversized short-sleeved blazer (HK$1,460).
