... as Eriksson digests defeat and pasta

Also in town as part of the international friendly games on Thursday was English side Manchester City, managed by Sven-Goran Eriksson. It seems the former England national coach didn't have much of an appetite for Asian cuisine on this trip. It's no surprise, given that his team, like Juventus, lost to the Hong Kong locals - plus, earlier in the week he met team owner and ousted Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra in Bangkok and now there is speculation he might soon be axed. As a result, Eriksson decided to go Italian. Last Wednesday, the Manchester City coach apparently decided to splurge for some pasta at IFC eatery Isola and dropped a bill totalling HK$10,000. All those years with glamorous Italian girlfriend Nancy Dell'Olio must have had an effect on Eriksson's (pictured with Isola executive chef Gianni Caprioli) choice of comfort food.
