Primary and secondary school students are being encouraged to take photographs of any sport to win cameras and cash coupons in a photo competition organised by Baptist University's faculty of science.

Based on the theme 'science in sports', the competition aims to encourage people to express through photography their thoughts on the relationship between science and sport.

All submissions must be individual works taken in Hong Kong in the 12 months ending June. Champions in each category (one for students and one for adults) will win a digital single-lens reflex camera. The first runner-up in each group will receive a digital camera and outstanding entries will be given cash coupons.

The competition is part of the university's science festival to promote public interest in science.

All award-winning photos will be exhibited at the faculty's open day on July 8. Photos must be submitted before next Friday. For an application form, visit
