Hunger strikes by South Asian detainees at the Castle Peak Bay Immigration Centre in Tuen Mun entered their sixth day yesterday, with 34 refusing to eat in protest at their detention. Most want to be released on bail and some want to return to their home countries. Democratic Party legislator Albert Ho Chun-yan urged the government to respond to the requests.
