It's hard to convince Hong Kong islanders to return to the Elements mall now after the initial curiosity stage, but here's one reason for the trek. There's a new photo exhibition at its atrium called 'The Vivienne Westwood Opus'. Featuring huge 50cm x 60cm Polaroid fashion prints shot by the designer herself, it's all from a gigantic, limited-edition book released internationally in a print run of only 900 copies (with nine different covers of 100 copies each, all autographed by Westwood). It's quite a hardback, weighing in at 25kg.

The exhibition opened on Friday with a small ceremony. Despite a lengthy delay, when it finally started it did take advantage of its setting by incorporating the escalator near the atrium as part of a mini fashion show that featured Taiwanese actress Guey Lun-mei (left).

'This is my first time wearing Vivienne Westwood,' the young star said. 'And it's also my first catwalk show. I was quite nervous at the afternoon rehearsal but I think it was better tonight. The best part of Westwood's designs is her brave and clever use of clothes and accessories to express her unconventional way of thinking.'
