Diesel replacement grants approved

The government had approved grant applications for just 7 per cent of the 74,000 older commercial diesel vehicles eligible to be replaced under a scheme aimed at improving roadside air quality, environment chief Edward Yau Tang-wah told the Legislative Council. He said the government had approved 5,355 applications for grants to replace pre-Euro- and Euro I-standard diesel vehicles by the end of April.
