With space at a premium in most Hong Kong flats and offices, it's good to know major consumer-electronics brands are designing stylish products to perk up the look of small spaces. Samsung Electronics has given the usually bulky laser printer a makeover and come up with the CLP-315. The company claims it is the world's most compact colour laser printer, measuring 388mm by 312mm by 244 mm and weighing in at 11kg.
It is also touted as the quietest in its class, with a noise level less than that of the average conversation when printing in colour. The colour printing rate is four pages per minute on A4 paper while monochrome printing runs at 17 pages per minute. It offers up to 2,400 x 600 dots-per-inch output resolution and works with Windows, Linux and Macintosh systems. The CLP-315 costs HK$1,999.
