Paternity leave being studied

The government is studying paternity leave practice overseas and polling about 1,500 firms on the subjects, Secretary for Labour and Welfare Matthew Cheung Kin-chung said. He said the government had no timetable for legislating for such leave, but would encourage bosses to allow for it. He added that providing a few days' paternity leave would have a bigger impact on small and medium-sized companies.
