Man of the moment Riccardo Tisci's dark, sensual designs for Givenchy come straight from the heart, writes Jing Zhang.
If you have deep pockets, you could consider this benevolent proposition even though it is not strictly a Hong Kong thing. Doing their part for the Sichuan quake victims, Hugo Boss - sponsor of the McLaren Formula One race team led by sensational new driver Lewis Hamilton (pictured) - is auctioning off two Paddock Club tickets for the Singapore F1 race on the weekend of September 26 to 28.
It's the Lion City's first attempt at hosting the motor world's top event, and making it more interesting is the fact that it's a night race. The paddock tickets package includes not only the races and time trials, but also three nights' accommodation at the St Regis Hotel. The total value is HK$110,000, but bidding starts at HK$150,000. All proceeds will go to the Unicef children's fund. The local connection is that it is organised by the brand's Hong Kong marketing director, Stephanie Means. Interested bidders should offer their price to her at Stephanie_Means@hugoboss.com or 2378 7025. Bidding closes on June 30.
