Police believe they foiled a kidnap plot when they attended an accident and found a seven-year-old Pakistani boy with four suspected kidnappers. Police received a report at 10.30pm that four cars had crashed on Lin Cheung Road, Cheung Sha Wan, after a high-speed chase. They found the men, all South Asian, and the boy in one of the cars. The boy, who was not injured, was taken to Caritas Medical Centre for examination and the suspects were arrested at the scene.
