Lensman's images exhibit his puppy love

A photography exhibition on cute puppies and kittens will be held at the Fringe Gallery from next Tuesday to raise money for the Society for Abandoned Animals.

These photographs of cats and dogs, most of them abandoned, were captured by amateur photographer Percy Chan Chun-kit on the streets of Hong Kong, Taiwan and the mainland.

Chan still fondly remembers his pet dog that died three years ago. His mission is to make the public treasure their pets through the pictures of these cute animals.

'It's not just about feeding them or giving them space, but it's also about spending time with them and taking care of them,' he said.

More than 40 photographs will be shown during the exhibition. 'I hope the audiences will get to see different faces of the animals and make serious considerations before making any decisions [to adopt or buy them].'

Chan added it is important to treat the animals like their own family members, not like toys.

The Miu and Wow Photography Exhibition will be held at the Fringe Gallery from June 24 to July 16
