The foodie known as Cha Xiu-bao is considered Hong Kong's No 1 food blogger - he featured prominently in an episode of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (season three), was filmed for Gourmet Magazine's television programme, Diary of a Foodie, and is referred to regularly by fellow food bloggers and on websites such as eGullet and Chowhound. The well-travelled foodie writes about a range of edibles: consuming lamb 'ding-a-lings', rice with pork lard and a 12-course shark meal in Hong Kong, drinking tokaji in Hungary, trying eight Michelin-starred restaurants (with a total of 21 stars) on an eight-day trip to France, attending a truffle festival in Alba, Italy, and eating a meal at l'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Paris, by chance sitting next to Ferran Adria (the meeting helped him nab a table at the chef's El Bulli restaurant, in Spain, for later this year).
