About 80 people were stranded for about 30 minutes when the Ngong Ping 360 cable car shut down because of a faulty sensor on Thursday. Service resumed at 2.40pm. An independent expert is currently checking the reliability of the ride this month and its maintenance throughout July or August. It is unclear whether the expert's findings will be reported to the government afterwards.
