Star Ferry wants to discontinue its HK$110 monthly ticket and the special HK$30 'tourist' ticket because few people are buying them. Frankie Yick Chi-ming,  managing director of Star Ferry, said only 40 monthly tickets and 12 tourist tickets were sold every month - not enough to cover the related administrative costs.  Democrat lawmaker Andrew Cheng Kar-foo  urged the company to instead find new ways to boost sales.
