Urban taxis allowed in Ma Wan

Urban taxis will be permitted to operate at Ma Wan, between Lantau and Tsing Yi, between 11pm and 7am from today to meet the transport needs of residents, the Transport Department said. The area near the luxury residential estate Park Island used to be a restricted zone and only vehicles with special permits could enter. The department said the changes were aimed at catering for residents' urgent transport needs.
